It is with profound sadness that the family of Margarita Badillo Aguirre announces her peaceful passing on June 13, 2023, at the age of 87 years. She was lovingly called "Big Mama" by those who knew and loved her dearly.
Big Mama was born on June 10, 1936, in Los Sauces, Chihuahua, Mexico, the youngest of nine children born to Francisco and Carmen Vasquez Badillo. She married Efrain V. Aguirre on November 29, 1953, in Cuidad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico; together, they had 13 children: Lilia, Efrain (Susie), Carmen, Margarita, Victor (Jamelia), Mario (Angie), Rene, Ernesto (Yvonne), Ysela, Daniel (Ana), Piedad (Frank), Sergio, and Ismael (Cecilia), and raised them in Fontana, California.
Big Mama loved visiting casinos, crafting, shopping, dancing, laughing, being adventurous, traveling, and gathering with family. She had a sense of elegance and a witty sense of humor. She was guided by faith in all she did and was always willing to help and be of service to others.
She was welcomed to her eternal home by her husband, Efrain; sons, Sergio & Mario; grandchildren, Kathleen, Vincent & Michael; & great grandson, Michael Andrew; as well as other loved ones.
Her love for us will forever live in our hearts.
A memorial service honoring Big Mama will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023, with a Rosary and Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 11342 Spruce Ave, Bloomington, CA 92316, at 11:00 a.m. and burial immediately following at Green Acres Memorial Park, 11715 Cedar Avenue, Bloomington, CA 92316.
