Angelo Benenati

Angelo Benenati, 96, of Nutley passed away on Sept. 4, 2017.He was a veteran of the US Army as a Staff Sergeant from 1941-1945 and served during WWII. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, Local 1342 for 75 years. He also worker for the Sports Authority in program sales, Local 137 for 20 years and was most proud of being an avid horse owner and often seen in the winner’s circle.Arrangements are by the Zarro Funeral Home (www.zarrofuneralhome.net), 145 Harrison St., Bloomfield. Visitation will be Thursday, September 7th from 9:00 am till 10:30am followed by a mass at 11:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Belleville. The entombment will be at Hollywood Memorial Park Cemetery, Union. Kindly omit flowers. In lieu of flowers donations to the Disabled War Vets would be appreciated. Angelo is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Domenica “ May” (nee Arico) Benenati; dear sons, Vincent and Anthony; daughter in law, Mary; cherished grandchildren, Melissa , Vincent and his wife, Eleanora and great grandchildren, Vincent and Luciano.
