William Allen Graves, Sr, age 75, was called home to be with our Lord on August 27, 2017. He was born on June 25, 1942. He was a member of Crestway Baptist. He was a loving husband, and father and to all he was known as a very giving person. He spent over 40 years self-employed and in retirement, he served as a deputy Constable. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Sylvia Graves and his parents, Robert and Aileene Graves. He is survived by his two sons, Al Graves, Jr. (Sondra) of Ripley, MS., Dwight Graves (Michele) of Trussville, AL. Four grandchildren, Trey Graves (Jessica), Brittany Smith (David), Megan Graves, and Kelsey Graves, and Five great-grandchildren, Cooper, Sophie Claire, and Cohen Graves, and Maddee and Rylee Hall. Six half-sisters, Geraldine Gearhart, Patricia Laureto, Debra Robertson, Bobbi Graves, Linda Arrington, and Pamela Stephens. Two half-brothers Robert Graves and Craig Graves and many other beloved family and friends. Service will be Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Viewing will be Wednesday from 1 to 2 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
