Wayne Jennings

Wayne Jennings, 60, of Leeds, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023. Wayne was born on July 7, 1963. He is survived by his son, Michael (Felicia)Lee; daughter, Nicole (Issa) Brown; grandkids: Nathan and Madilynn Newsome; sisters, Alvertis (J.D.) Wideman, Ann Marie Pruitt; brothers, Gary (Marie) Jennings, Donald (Jean) Jennings, Bobby Jennings; nephew, Scotty (Dawn) Jennings; and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his son, Kenny Lee; father, Henry Thomas Jennings; mother, Virginia Isabell Jennings; grandparents, Henry Glassgowe and Unia Arbry Jennings, who raised him; sisters, Sherri Isabell, Bertha Little; brothers, Edward (Jeannett) Jennings, J.T. (Lillian) Jennings, his fur baby and shotgun rider, Ace; as well as many more family members and friends.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 1pm until 2pm at Johns Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home. A celebration of Wayne’s life will follow at 2pm. He will be laid to rest at Birmingham’s historic Elmwood Cemetery.
