Virginia Rozelle Crawford

Virginia Marie Rozelle Crawford died June 24, 2021 after suffering for several years with multiple illnesses. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter N. Rozelle and Marie Wiggins Rozelle, as well as her brother Walter Rozelle Jr. and her twin brother, Byron Rozelle. In departing this life, Virginia leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 62 years, John M. Crawford, loving daughter Amy Cleverdon (Edwin), step-grandchildren Hamilton Cleverdon (Maegan), Elliot Cleverdon, and Josephine Cleverdon, and cousin Sara Elizabeth Craft.

Virginia graduated from Auburn University with a degree In early childhood development and education. She taught elementary school for over 35 years in Alabama and Florida. She was a Christian, a believer, and an attendee of McCalla Bible Church. She was surrounded by other active members of similar faith.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Curtis and Son Funeral Home in Sylacauga, under the direction of Johns-Ridout Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at Curtis and Son Funeral home on Friday, July 2,2021 starting at 10:00AM with a Memorial Service starting at 11:00 AM on Friday July 2,2021. Virginia will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Curtis and Son. Dr. Jackson of McCalla Bible Church will render last words.
