Tommie Louise Carr Copeland was born on April 25, 1930 in Birmingham, Alabama. She was a homemaker for her late spouse, William Thomas Copeland, who she married in Birmingham, Alabama,
on September 26, 1950.
Tommie was a member of North Highlands Baptist Church in Hueytown, Alabama. She loved the Lord and read her Bible as much as she could. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles; but loved reading
mystery novels. Tommie was known to have either her Bible, a crossword puzzle, or a mystery novel in her hand most of the time. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Vincent Carr and Frances Cunningham Carr and sister of the late Frank Carr and Bill Carr. Tommie is survived by her daughter, Frances Copeland Lucas of Concord, Alabama and her son, William (Billy) Thomas Copeland, Jr. (Christi) of Hueytown, Alabama. She is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, all who live in Alabama.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation in Tommie's memory to her favorite charity, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
A private graveside service will be held for the family.
