Ruth Earl Anderson Swain, age 73, of Birmingham, AL passed away on March 17, 2021. She was born on May 21, 1947 in Childersburg, Alabama. Ruth attended Phyllis Wheatley High School and retired as the owner of a family childcare in Maryland.
Ruth was a member of Central Church of Christ and often went into her “quiet time” to build a spiritual connection with the Lord. She was definitely a vessel of the Lord’s word for all who encountered her.
Ruth had an eye for the finer things in life! She truly enjoyed fashion and design, chatting on the phone, baking, jazz, and family. She also loved riding in her convertible “Rubaby” on any given sunny day. To know Ruth is to know great humor, grace, truth and honest, and love. She was also known to be a sharpshooter with a delivery of love. Ruth was a total class act!!
Ruth will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, godmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She will be truly missed and will always have a special place in our hearts forever.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Earline Anderson; son, Stacey Fleming (AL); sisters, Josie Anderson McMillian, and Betty Anderson Porter.
