Ray Edward Lee age 71 of Gardendale passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012. Ray was a Mason, a certified antique appraiser, and the owner and auctioneer of Woodstock Auction. He was a member of Walker’s Chapel Baptist Church. He attended Pratt City School as well as Ensley High School. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Claiborne Lee; son, Ray Edward Lee, Jr. and his stepson, Mark Wells. He is survived by his wife, Betty Wells Lee; sons, Roy M. Lee, and Randy W. Lee (Tonya); stepson, Steve Wells (Melissa); stepdaughter, Lisa Wells Davis (Cliff); grandchildren, Jennifer Lee, Danielle James (Keff), Kristen Weible (Jesse), Jessica Lee (James), Anna Cornelius, Jordan Cornelius, Katelyn Dean, Kelsi Lee, and Jonah Lee; nine great grandchildren; brothers, Carl Lee (Ruth) and Terry Lee (Judy); and his beloved cat, Max. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 3:00 pm at Elmwood Chapel with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
