Peggy Hayden Nix, passed away early Thursday morning April 30th in Tuscaloosa AL. She was a great wife, mom, sister, aunt, grandmom (Mimi), and friend to many. She now joins her dear husband, Marvin, in heaven. She leaves behind her son, Mike and wife, Charlotte, of Tuscaloosa, AL, her daughter Joy and husband, Paul, of Mobile, AL, and three grandchildren Andy of Merrilville, IN, Megan of Mobile, AL, and Adam of Austin, TX. Born in Birmingham and raised in Tarrant City as the fourth daughter of five to Mildred and George Hayden. She was happily married for 59 years to the love of her life whom together they loved their kids, church, family and friends, enjoyed traveling, square dancing, supper clubs, and events of their grandchildren. Her caring nature, loving smile, and infectious laugh will be missed. Graveside services for the immediate family will be Monday afternoon on May 4th. She will rest in peace next to Marvin under the largest oak tree around.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, May 4, 2020 at 2 pm at Elmwood Cemetery. Due to the concerns surrounding Covid-19, and in compliance with city & county ordinances gatherings of 10 or more are prohibited and social distance is required.
