Patricia Ann Crymes James was born on December 29, 1949, to the late Evelyn Cox Crymes and Theotis Crymes. She was the oldest of four children. She grew up in the small town of West Blocton, AL and graduated from West Blocton High School in 1969. Following graduation, she married the love of her life, Eugene James. To this union, three daughters were born. Pat was a devoted wife, mother and faithful servant of Jehovah. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses over 47 years ago and served faithfully until her death.
Pat was not only “momma” to her three daughters, but to countless friends, nieces and nephews. She was not afraid of disciplining all those who called her Momma Pat. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin, friend, nurse and psychologist who genuinely cared for people. She fed them, nurtured them, and advised them. She loved everyone unconditionally. Her love for all was undeniable and without question. She welcomed all into her home and treated them as her own. Her smile will truly be missed.
Preceding Pat in her passing are: her parents Theotis and Evelyn Crymes; her mother and father-in-law, Elbert and Berlena James; her youngest sister, Monica Daniel; and her sister-in-law Jessie Garrett.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving husband of 52 years, Eugene Howard James; three daughters, Daphne (Herman) McClain, Alicia James and Cassandra James; one step-daughter, Lavetrius Davis; one sister, Laura Gail Poole; one brother, Rodney (Cynthia) Crymes; five sisters-in-love, Ollie Baltimore, Dora Bell, Eva (John) Kelser, Connie Maynor and Janice (Michael) Jones; two brothers-in-love, Harold (Mattie) James and Roy (Carol) James; eight grandchildren, Jeremy James, D’Andre James Sr., Trevon James, Briana (Chris) Robinson, Johnathan Coleman, Antanique Toliver, Iyana Scott and D’yana Scott; seven great grandchildren, Kai Harris, Aiden Coleman, D’Andre James Jr., Nahlij James, Cataleya James, Jay’Ceon Coleman and Jayce Robinson; and a host of other relatives, extended family and friends.
