Darlene was a loving wife, mother, and was known as Nanny to her many grands, great-grands, and great great-grands, in addition to many others who also loved to call her Nanny.
She is predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years, James A. Moore; brother, John Dunn (Kate) and son-in-law, Casey Kullman.
She leaves her family to cherish her memory including three children, Karen McKay (Jim), Wayne Moore (Millie) and Nelda Kullman; five grandchildren, Katrina McKay (Alan), Joe McKay (Joy), Jeremy Bradshaw (Katie), Jessica Holmes (Rob) and Bradley Moore (Melissa); 15 great-grandchildren; 9 great great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Loose (Jerry); in-laws, Winslow Moore and Vernell Moore (Linda); and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her adopted family, the Ratliffs, not to mention a host of friends and family.
Darlene had an unwavering faith in the Lord and shared her love of the Lord with everyone she came in contact with. She had an amazing sense of humor and a beautiful contagious laugh. She loved her family and friends dearly and always let them know she was there for them.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Riverchase Community Church Children and Youth Ministries (2053 Old Montgomery Highway Hoover, AL 35244).
Please join the family for a celebration of her life to be held on Monday, June 13, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with visitation from 10-11. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.
