Michael Stephen Greer

Michael Stephen Greer of Pinson, age 64, went to be with the Lord on March 24, 2015. He was born in Birmingham, AL and graduated from Banks High School in 1968. He was a three sport athlete in high school playing baseball, basketball and running track. He continued his athletic career at Jefferson State Community College as a member of the baseball and basketball teams. After graduation from Jefferson State, he attended The University of Alabama at Birmingham and during that time he became the head golf professional at Roebuck Golf Course. He also held other positions in the golf business as a territory manager for Slazenger Golf Company as well as the general manager at Eagle Point Golf Club. For the past 13 years, Mike served the Lord in ministry as the Director of Events for Scott Dawson Evangelistic Association and later as the Prayer and Events Pastor at Church of the Highlands. Those left behind to celebrate his life and cherish their memories are his wife of 44 years, Linda Adkins Greer, his daughter Cary Greer Coker, son-in-law Joseph Coker, son, Drew Greer, daughter-in-law Robin Price Greer, and grandchildren, Mason Greer, Cooper Greer, Julia Coker, Judah Coker, Joseph Michael Coker and Joshua Coker. A celebration of his life and legacy will be held at the Greystone Campus of Church of the Highlands on Saturday, March 28th at 3:00 PM. The family will receive friends at a reception following the celebration. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Scott Dawson Evangelistic Association, P.O.
