Melvin Thomas BAILEY, age 81, of Birmingham, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020. Melvin was born May 1, 1939.

Melvin is survived by his spouse, Audrey G. Bailey; son Melvin T. Bailey II; and daughter Rebecca Fritsch Essary; grandchildren Jennifer, Katie, Andrew, Chase, Trey, Jordan, Raegan, Joshua; great grandchildren Ashton and Montana.

Melvin was a member of Overton First Baptist Church and a Retired Law Enforcement Officer.

Melvin was preceded in death by parents Bert M & Vera Bailey; brothers Kermit Bailey, Bill Bailey, & J V Bailey, sisters Louise Lockley & Marie Jarnigan.
