Dear Mary, you will be missed so much. You and I shared a lot of things, mainly our Recovery. We struggled, we fought and made it through our struggle with addiction. Sometimes a long road, but we got there. You are such a sweetheart Mary and I will miss you. We haven't seen each other in a couple years because of Covid, but you will always be close in my heart. I know how much you love your Family, and especially your Tommy. He loves you very much, and he will miss you beyond what we can understand. God, keep our Mary safe in Heaven. There are no words to express how deeply my heart is breaking. Mary and I have been friends since we were four years old. There are so many memories that I could probably write a book. Like all true friendships, there were good and bad times, but through them all we remained friends. A memory that I'm sure we all share when we think of Mary was her ability to make you laugh without even trying. Some of her catch phrases, "Lord, have mercy", "have you ever?", "I ain't never", and many more brings a smile even now. Growing up she would always drag one of her friends home, myself included to spend the night. Those were some of the best times. Staying up late raiding the fridge and talking all night. If you were one of these friends you know what I'm talking about. Mary was very humble. When we were teenagers she could have any guy she wanted, but she never seemed to see it. She had her ups and downs, but I always told her she was a warrior because it wasn't about how many times you've been knocked down, but its about how many times you get back up, and get back up she did. I have no doubt that Mary is walking on streets of gold, surrounded by family and friends that she dearly missed and in the presence of her Lord that she loved very much. She never met a stranger. She always had a heart for all she would meet. She loved everyone. Especially her family. Each and every one of them were her heart and joy. I will keep each of you in my prayers. Sadly with a heavy heart I will not be able to attend the services due to varying circumstances. My heart and mind will be with each of you as I sit 330 miles away hanging on to every memory, every laugh, every tear we shared. I know I will see you again even as I cry, but it still hard to say goodbye. I will always love you! Your friend, Peggy

When Mary was a very small child, she came with Sissy and Uncle Troy to Calhoun City. They had come for a visit. When we saw Mary,  she had on a furry coat that had rabbit ears sticking straight up!! She was so cute in that coat and her blonde hair around her face!! I will never forget that sweet little smile !!! We will miss you, Mary!! 

Mary and I lived in the same apartment complex; we also had 5 y/o sons who were best of buds. She and I spent many days laying in the sun or by the pool. Both of us would go on a diet every spring and talk about how fat we were. Neither of us could have weighed over 120 lbs. We had many wonderful times which often included our husbands and kids. We didn't see each other often over the last few years, but we texted and prayed for each other. Mary was a beautiful, caring, genuine person. She will be missed by many.

Mary and I knew each other long before we were next doors neighbors. One of my favorite things about her was that she,  like myself,  liked to share to much information. We were blessed that even though we liked to share to much, we always kept the really important to ourselves. We didn’t have to visit all the time to be friends….we just were. I’ll miss her terribly. My thoughts and prayers are with Tommy and their family.
