Mary Ruth Gibson lived most of her life in the Birmingham area. She graduated from Woodlawn High School and Wheeler Business College. Mary Ruth was a member of North Shelby Baptist Church and a member of Ruhama Baptist Church prior. Mary Ruth was the wife of the late Elbert Gibson, born on September 29, 1920 in Birmingham, AL. She was preceded in death by her son William “Billy” H. Marvel. She is survived by her granddaughters Betty Marie Marvel McBride “Mike” and Connie Lynn Marvel Pulido “Alex” and her great grandson Benjamin Alexander McBride.
