Marie C. George passed away peacefully on June 18, 2024. She was 93 Years old. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Charles M. George Sr. She is survived by her four children, Charles M. George Jr. (Rhonda M George), Natalie G. Rockett, Lisa G. Phillips, and Greg George(Kristie Glass). She has four grandchildren, Chris George, (Kim Demetrio), Brent George, Catherine Stachelski,(Mark Stachelski), and Lauren Moore. She was blessed with ten great grandchildren, Wells Demetrio, Nico Demetrio, Rebecca Crain, Emily Crain, Ryleigh Crain, Matthew Stachelski, Avery Stachelski, Maddox Moore, Madison Moore, and Mason Moore.
She lived a full life that demonstrated her strengths, her vast love for her family, and an unwavering faith in God. She overcame some of the toughest obstacles in life and she always managed to persevere.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to the Alzheimer's Association in Marie's memory.
A visitation for Marie will be held Monday, June 24, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 2061 Patton Chapel Rd, Hoover, AL 35216, followed by a funeral mass from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
