Linda McIntyre Hunt, 83, went home to be with the Lord on September 24, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, James E. McIntyre and Grace L. McIntyre. She is survived by her children, Darryl Wayne Hunt and Dennis McIntyre Hunt; granddaughter, Karen Maria Hunt; sister, Betty McIntyre Stonecypher; nieces, Robyn Vann (Jim) and Shari Schaefer (Carl); and numerous great nieces, nephews, and friends.
Linda graduated from West End High School. She retired from the Social Security Administration as well as Clark, James, Hanlin, and Hunt. Linda was a hard worker. She loved her children. Linda was a proud Cub Scout Den Mother, High School Band Mother. She had a love of craft making. She was proudly baptized in the Baptist Church.
Linda was a breast cancer survivor of over 25 years. In lieu of flowers the family suggests making a memorial donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home from 10 am until 11 am. A celebration of Linda’s life will follow at Elmwood Cemetery at 11 am. Reverend Tommy Sanders will officiate the service.
