Larry Joseph Davis

Larry Joseph Davis of Cleveland, Alabama passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, March 24, 2017. Son of the late Reverend Joe and Gertrude (Heron) Davis, Larry was born on January 28, 1951 in Birmingham, Alabama.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years Joyce Passon Davis; sisters Gayla Goodwin of Palmerdale, Alabama and Janice Nash of Richland, Mississippi; brother Phil Davis (wife Rene) Davis of Trussville, Alabama; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Larry was a member of Welcome #2 Missionary Baptist Church in Palmerdale. He was also a member of the Locust Fork Masonic Lodge and the Eastern Star. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to the mountains.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel in Trussville, Alabama. The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 10:00 am at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. There will be an additional visitation Wednesday evening, March 29, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, Mississippi. A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 11:00 am at Moss Memory Gardens in Moss, Mississippi.
