Linda, Kay, and Judy at Panama City, Florida. The beaches were unspoiled and relatively empty, the days hot, the adults taking pictures that all the kids would later come to regret, and the rental cabin alive with cockroaches big as baby birds!

Heaven's Door
Heaven's Door has opened once more

Who filled those lives she touched

I loved visiting Kay at "the shop" when I was a kid. One of her desk drawers was full of goodies and she always let me pick whatever I wanted. It made me feel grown up and special. Later, she became part of my family and I loved visiting her and my uncle in Pell City.

Kay had a sharp mind, a kind heart, a generous nature, and an active disposition. She was absolutely one of a kind.

Kay was probably the sweetest girl any guy could want to take to the prom. She was shy but funny.I only wish I had known her medical condition sooner in time for a last word or two ! An old friend
