On November 1, 2022, Judy Giddens Hardy passed peacefully, surround by her family. Born in Bessemer, AL, Judy graduated from Bessemer High School before marrying the love of her life, Robert Wayne Hardy Sr. They were blessed with their two sons, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren throughout their life. Judy was the definition of grace, selflessness, and hospitality. When a friend was in need, Judy was always there to show support with a casserole in hand. Judy cherished her friendships with the Magic City Boppers, Trussville Biddies, Dominoes group, and many others.
She is reunited in heaven with her loving husband, Bob Hardy “Pops”, sister and best friend Frances Giddens Bass along with her parents and other siblings.
She will be missed on Earth by her sons Bob Hardy Jr (Kimberlie Hardy) and Brian Hardy, honorary daughter Bonnie Bass Darrow (Mike Darrow), her grandchildren Julia Hardy Oramas (Nick Oramas), Caroline Hardy Soto (Zach Soto), Linleigh Hardy and Baylor Hardy, her great granddaughters Emmi Oramas and Sophia Oramas. She will also be missed by her sisters-in-law Donna Hardy Troncale and Sharron Hardy Kull, her niece Shannon Giddens-Princiotto, nephew Steve Bass, her great nieces and nephews Nick Darrow, Emma Darrow, Tess Princiotto, Elle Princiotto, Logan Bass and Kyler Bass.
Services will be held at her beloved home church of First Baptist Church of Trussville on the morning of Saturday November 5, 2022 with visitation from 10-11am immediately followed by her memorial service at 11am.
