Heaven’s gain was our loss when our Lord called our sweet boy home. Joziah came into this world too soon and was taken too soon. His grandfather, Steven Finley, greeted him in Heaven.
He is survived by his parents, Stacey D. Stevenson and Joseph J. Jones; brothers, Alex Gunn and Javion Jones; sister, Jakia Jones; his grandparents, Mary J. Finley, Gwendola Hughes, and Howard Jones; aunts, Marsha Finely (Andrew Powell, Sr.) and Johnetta Hughes; uncles, Steven Tyler Finely (Ashley) and Martez Lacey; and cousin Andrew Powell, Jr.
Joziah was a smart baby from the day he was born. At one week he was holding his head up. Swaddling was not for him. Joziah always found a way out of it. He will always be loved and missed. He was the light of his family’s life.
Visitation will be Friday, October 4, 2024 from 1:00 pm until 1:50 pm at Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Elmwood Cemetery at 2:00 pm. Corrie Cabes will officiate the service.
