STRICKLAND, HELEN MYERS, age 91, of Tarrant, passed away Monday, February 27, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, L. Z. Strickland; and sister, Charlotte Traylor. She is survived by her son, Larry Z. Strickland (Patricia); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Helen was a member of Tarrant First Methodist Church where she was very involved with church activities including working with the MYF and teaching children’s Sunday school. The family wishes to thank the staff of Peachtree Assisted Living Facility for their loving care. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 from 5-7 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Her service will be at the funeral home on Thursday, March 1, 2012 beginning at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Sharit Cemetery in Tarrant.
