Helen Jane Armstrong

Helen Jane Armstrong, 89, went home to be with the Lord on April 18, 2020. Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Copelon O’Neil Armstrong. She is survived by her children, Karen Martin (Bill), Inga Ezekiel, and Neil Armstrong (Lesa); grandchildren, Trey Martin (Erin), Adam Martin (Erin), Erin Driskell (Lance), Aimee Albritton (Robert), Noelle Garver (Ernest), and Benjamin Armstrong, Cameron Ake, Amanda Ake, and Keith Ake; great-grandchildren, Madison, Maecie, Vada, Copelan, Parker, Bettie, Aiden, Victoria, and Brooks.

Helen was born on May 26, 1930 to Samuel Adams and Roebirdie Stough Adams in Jefferson County, Alabama. She married her husband Copelon on November 18, 1950.

A celebration of Helen’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at 11 am at Elmwood Cemetery, with Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home officiating. Due to the concerns surrounding Covid-19, and in compliance with city & county ordinances gatherings of 10 or more are prohibited and social distance is required.
