Cornelius, Hazel W.”Granny”, age 96 of Birmingham passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Wilcox and Agnes Louise Walker Wilcox; and her husband, Norman H. Cornelius. She is survived her son, Richard (Patricia) Cornelius, Sr., of Birmingham; a grandson, Richard (Shawnna) Cornelius, Jr. of Trussville; a granddaughter, Stacey (Joey) Sumner of Ashville; and seven great- grandchildren, Adaire Cornelius, Arienne Cornelius, Settinino Cornelius, Allyson Sumner,Emily Sumner, Andrew Cornelius, and Daniel Sumner.
Visitation will be Friday, June 15th at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM with a graveside service to follow at 1 PM at Crumley Chapel Cemetery. The family would like to send a special thank you to the caregivers at East Glen Nursing Home in Birmingham.
