Harry spent the majority of his career in the United States Army. He dedicated that time helping to protect and serve his country. Harry and his family got to see many different places on the globe. From traveling to Germany twice, to living in different states such as New Jersey, New York, Kentucky, and even South Korea. The memories of such places and stories shared among family will continue to live on. He spent the remainder of his career at Vulcan Materials Company where his dry sense of humor endeared him to his colleagues.
Harry was at times a private and quiet man, however, his actions to help others speak for him as he was always there to offer a helping hand to those around him. From fixing his daughter’s squeaky front door, to helping his family and strangers, he could always be depended on.
Harry was a sports fan of football. He would watch not only the Alabama football team, but any team and game from past sports events, to present. It is however hinted that he was a true Alabama Fan by watching Alabama the most.
