Gail F. Kohser

Gail F. Kohser, age 87, of Pinson, AL passed away on December 23, 2024. A native of Pittsburgh, PA where she grew up. She was a graduate of Shaler High School and later graduated from the University of Alabama where she earned a BS in nursing. Gail served over 25 years of service at Medical Center East where she retired as a night supervisor. After retiring Gail became a Parish Nurse at Faith Lutheran in Clay, AL.

Gail was a devoted member of her church and was active in the SOWER (Servant’s on Wheels Ever Ready) Ministry with her husband, Howard where they both travelled all over the US together serving several communities in various ways.

Gail was preceded in death by her loving husband Howard Kohser, of 54 years; her granddaughter, Megan Startley; her parents and two sisters. She is survived by her two daughters, Dena Sartain (Jay) and Dawna Butts (Steve); her son, Randy Kohser (Renee); five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

A funeral service for Gail will be held at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel on Saturday, January 4th at 2:00 p.m. with visitation for friends and family one hour prior to the service.
