Fred E. Bouchet 83 of Vincent, Alabama went home peacefully to be with Jesus on February 25, 2024. Fred was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a true family man. He was always home in the evenings and never took a job that would keep him away from his family. His daughters were his life. But his true love was his soulmate, Rosemary. Where one was so was the other.
Fred became the youngest deacon at Central Park Baptist Church, at the age of 21. He served the Lord as a deacon for 62 years. For the last 50 years he was the Deacon Secretary at Vincent First Baptist Church. He loved his church and only missed attending when he was sick. He was a beloved Sunday School Teacher since he was 15 years old.
Fred worked at and retired from Lance Snacks after 25 years. He was a route salesman, which took him in a different direction every day.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Sr. and Ondean Bouchet and his younger brother, Rodney Bouchet. Fred leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of almost 60 years, Rosemary Simpson Bouchet; daughters, Noelle Bouchet, and Emilie Davis (Bo); grandchildren, Christopher Atchley (fiance’ Jess), Allison Boyd (David), and Elizabeth Ashby (Chris); and an extended church family.
There will be a visitation on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 10 am until 11 am at Vincent First Baptist Church; a celebration of life will follow at 11 am. He will be laid to rest beside his parents at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama.
