Frances (Greene) Alford

Frances Greene Alford born on March 10, 1931 passed away peacefully at her home on August 27, 2022. She was one of the longest residents of Center Point Alabama. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. Her many loves were planning parties for family get togethers, tending to her flowers and vegetable gardens, her many knick knacks, but most of all her many clocks. She had a houseful of chiming, tweeting and cuckooing clocks. She also expressed her creative side with her beautiful handmade quilts. Frances was preceded by her beloved husband Edward “John” Alford, her parents Roy and Hester Green and all 5 of her siblings. She survived by her 3 children, her daughter Patsy Chapman, her sons Jerry Alford and Derrick (Lisa) Alford. Her four grandchildren Craig Alford, Shawna Ragland (Tim), Lindsey Alford and Maddie Alford, 5 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel, 1500 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
