Doris Bradley

Doris A. Bradley, age 99 of Birmingham, AL died October 18, 2012. She was a former member of Cornerstone Church, East Lake United Methodist Church, and Parkway Christian Fellowship. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and a caring friend to many.

Mrs. Bradley retired as a fifth-grade teacher at Barrett Elementary School. She found great enjoyment and satisfaction in her teaching career, especially in teaching her students about American history and patriotism.

Mrs. Bradley was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Bradley, Jr. She is survived by her sons, Charles William (June) Bradley of Laguna Woods, CA, and Richard Edward (Chris) Bradley of Newport News, VA; grandchildren, David Bradley of Fort Collins, CO and Julie Bridgeforth of Allen, TX; six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, October 21, 2012 from 12:30 PM until 2PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. A graveside service will be held Sunday, October 21, 2012 at 2 PM at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family request that any memorial contributions be made to the American Red Cross.
