Donna was born in Birmingham, Alabama and was a long time resident of Bluff Park, Alabama. She eventually moved to Helena, Alabama to be closer to her family.
Donna attended Shades Valley High School. After graduation, she attended the University of Alabama earning a Bachelor Degree in Speech Pathology. She then attended the University of Montevallo where she earned her Masters Degree in Speech Pathology and obtained certification to teach the learning disabled. For several years she worked for the Jefferson County School Systems, and eventually retired from teaching middle school in Clanton, Alabama.
Donna was an active member of Hunter Street Baptist Church for many years. She also enjoyed being a member of the Birmingham Chapter of Civitan International. Her great joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren. Many wonderful memories were made during her time with friends and family.
Donna was proceeded in death by her parents Judge James C Manning and Rubye Mae Sides Manning. She is survived by her daughters Kimberlee Putman Orinoco and Richelle Manning Reese, her sons-in-law Michael Orinoco and David Reese, her grandchildren Victoria Bailey Reese, Charles Cameron Reese and Addison Lee Orinoco, and her great-grandchild Raelynn Emerson Brooks.
Visitation will be held at Elmwood Chapel on Thursday January 27th, 2022 from 1-2PM. The Funeral Services will follow at 2PM. A private burial service for family and friends will take place at Elmwood Cemetery after the funeral service.
