Don Howard Beasley

BEASLEY, DON HOWARD, age 71 of Clay, passed away on September 13, 2019 from complications following open heart surgery. Don was born on April 9, 1948 in Birmingham, AL to Claude Ruben Beasley and Jermaine Nichols Beasley. Don attended Woodlawn High School in Birmingham where he met Jane Ellis Yeager. They graduated together in 1966 and were married in Birmingham on August 22, 1970 at the Sixty-Sixth Street Baptist Church. He was a graduate of the University of Alabama, class of 1970. Don was a 23+ year employee of O’Neal Steel, Inc. and for the last 13 years has been employed in sales and estimating with WhiteFab, Inc. Since 1996 Don and Jane have been active members of the First Baptist Church of Trussville where he was a Deacon and Sunday School teacher. He is predeceased by his parents and his in-laws, Howard Ellis Yeager and Helen Frances Yeager. He is survived by his wife, Jane Yeager Beasley; son, Mark Howard Beasley and his wife Mary McNeely Beasley; grandchildren, Elizabeth Jane “Ellie” Beasley and Grayson Howard Beasley; sister, Nancy Beasley Howard; niece, Jennifer Howard Smith and her husband Jeremy Smith; and other relatives and many friends. His funeral service will be held at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel on Tuesday, September 17, 2019. Visitation begins at 9:30 AM followed by the service at noon. Burial will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery in Woodlawn.
