Dennis Gerald Bryant

Our beloved brother, Jerry has passed away after a brave battle with cancer. He attended St. Margaret’s Parochial School and John Carroll High School. Jerry was a devout Catholic and a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and a former member of St. Margaret’s Catholic Church.

He was a passionate University of Alabama football fan. Roll Tide!! We will miss his sense of humor and his protective and caring ways. He was and always will be loved by his brother and sisters, just as he loved us.

Jerry worked for Schwerman Trucking Company and was a longtime employee with Flynn Distributing Company. He found a second family with the Flynn’s and was thankful for them all. Our family would like to thank Flynn Distributing for their unwavering support during Jerry’s illness.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Robert C. and Julia V. Bryant; paternal grandparents, Kelly E. and Margaret F. Bryant; maternal grandparents, Glenn L. Varnell and Julia V. Woods; and step grandfather, Dennis G. Woods. He is survived by his siblings, Mary Julia, Margaret Lynn, and Robert C. Bryant.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 11 am ; with burial to follow at Valhalla Cemetery, Midfield, AL.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jerry may be made to the Blessed Sacrament Preservation Fund, 1460 Pearson Ave, Birmingham, AL 35211.
