Stephen M. Kuntz, 85 of Dunnellon, Florida died on Wednesday, May 27, 2015. He was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania on Friday, April 25, 1930 to John and Mary (Cedko) Kuntz. Stephen was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and a retired detective with the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department. He enjoyed working with his hands, traveling, cruising, going out to dinner,fishing and playing cards. Stephen volunteered for over 14 years at Rainbow Springs State Park and even played Santa Claus during the Christmas season.
Stephen was preceded in death by his brothers, John, Joe, Emil, Andy, Francis and Victor Kuntz and by his sisters, Ann, Mary, Helen and Julie.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Shirley Mae Kuntz of Dunnellon, Florida; son, Steve M. Kuntz and wife Carol of Gaithersburg, Maryland and grandson, Stephen F. Kuntz of Chester, Maryland.
Inurnment with Military Honors, Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Fero Memorial Gardens.
