Debra A. Scott

Loving Wife and Mother, Debra Ann Scott, 51 years old, passed away with her Husband and Daughters at her side on Thursday, May 19th, 2022 at the Ocala HCA hospital after a 9 month battle from Covid complications.

Debra was preceded in death by her baby girl Meagan Lee Scott in 2000. Her Mother Ida Mae Prescott in 2019.

She is survived by her husband, Gregory E. Scott and their two daughters, Marie L. Scott and Mikayla A. Scott all of Crystal River. Her Father Juan Martinez and wife Glenna of Glen St. Mary. Her Sister Linda Richardson and husband Mike of Glen St. Mary. Her brother Michael Martinez of Elkhart, Indiana. Her brother Johnny Martinez of Sanderson. Her niece Jennifer Richardson and husband Jeff Dicks of Glen St. Mary. Her nephew Michael Richardson of Glen St. Mary. Her niece Brandi Weiandt of Elkhart, Indiana. Her niece Brittany Martinez of Ft. Myers.

Debra is originally from Elkhart, Indiana but moved to Florida in 1978. Debra was married to Greg in 1995 after dating for 5 years. They have been together for 32 years. Debra and Greg moved to Crystal River in 2001. Debra had worked in the medical field administratively for the last 16 years. She was devoted to her family, her friends and her faith in God. She loved to spend time with family and her fur babies as she was an avid animal lover. She loved anything crafty and enjoyed spending time at craft events and expos. Debra was a member of First Baptist Church of Crystal River where she accepted Christ and was baptized in 2006. Her favorite musician growing up was Rick Springfield and still enjoyed his music today. She currently enjoyed listening to Chris Tomlin and other current Christian artists. Her favorite verse of the Bible was Joshua 1:9.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 24th from 1 - 2 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2 PM at the First Baptist Church of Crystal River, 700 N. Citrus Avenue, Crystal River, 34428. A committal service will be at Fero Memorial Gardens, 5891 N. Lecanto Hwy., Beverly Hills, Fl 34465 at 3:30 PM Tuesday, May 24th.
