I love you David Hunter, and I will always think of  such a blessed family we had,,you are the best David that ever was xo. ❤️

I smile when I think of my time spent with the Hunters. I remember Uncle David joking that some people had a beer belly, while his was all icecream.  I eat icecream more evenings than not and often think of Uncle David.  Praying for each of you. Love y'all!

I knew David thru my little brother Mick Gonzales-they were friends In grade school at Drexel Gardens-David & I reconnected thru Facebook & Reminisced of the fun times when he used to come over and hang out with my little brother Mick … David was a good man you’ll be missed … Rest In Peace 🙏🙏

The memories being shared here are so very precious. Sometimes we go a long time not thinking  about those very special times we've shared with loved ones. It's so good to remember. I must share my first memory.  I remember walking into a classroom at church and seeing a cute blonde boy. It went through my mind that is who I'm going to marry and right behind that thought God whispered in my ear...it will not be easy.  It's been quite a roller coaster but I'm so glad I saw it through to the end. David absolutely loved those summers when family came to visit. It was his best memories too! He loved being with his nieces and nephews and the neighborhood kids our girls brought home and being a part of their lives.  He loved building things out of beautiful pieces of wood  to share with those he loved. It's fun to remember. Thank you all for sharing.  Always know and remember David loved you too.

David was my second dad as I spent several years growing up with Becky, Beth and Christina.  He and Brenda always included and welcomed me with open arms.  Some of my fondest memories are of the times that we all piled in the old butter colored station wagon and drove out to the Speedway for a demolition derby.  Pops was like one of us kids blowing spit balls through a straw at us in Pizza Hut, tugging my hair or tapping my shoulder and acting like it wasn’t him.  He always gave us a safe place to hang out and kept watch over us girls while we spent summer evenings out on the trampoline.  I remember how he loved to take pictures with us as we got done up for dances and he saw us off to proms.  He was there for me many times throughout those years as I went through some difficult things in life.  I am a better person today because he was part of my childhood.  Now he watches over all of us from Heaven.  Until me meet again Dad!  All of my thoughts, prayers and love are with all he left behind here on earth.  

One of my more recent memories is a day a couple of years ago when Ed and I stopped by to visit David and Brenda on our way home from one of our annual winter trips. Brenda had to go to work and Ed decided to give David and I some alone time. He went to check out the golf course near by.  David and I sat on the front porch with our iced tea and talked for hours about everything, but nothing. We both loved every minute of it.  We’ll miss you, David! Love, Peggy and Ed 

My best memories of David, my brother-in-law, surround me in my home.  David’s wood working artistry was among the best I have ever seen.  My home is full of so many very special things that David custom made for me.  Several pieces like a bar height table and the most beautiful cedar bench that were all meant to go outside but these pieces are way too nice for outside and I use them every day in my home.  Also the custom made over the cabinet cedar coffee cup holder is truly special to me.  David wasn’t feeling very well the summer he made the coffee cup holder but he wasn’t going to let me go home without it.  The river bottom cypress side table is so unique and beautiful and is the envy of all my friends but I am not about to let it go.  David’s creations were made with love and bring fond memories of many good times.  Sending my love and prayers to Brenda, Beth, Billy and Tommy, Becky and Christina and Ben and all the Hunter brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews that will miss him so much.

Uncle David was the best uncle to all of his nephews and nieces!  I remember staying with Uncle David and Aunt Brenda for a few weeks in the summer.  From mowing grass, going to races, dancing at a country place, driving by a pond multiple times so us kids could see an alligator, eating popsicle after popsicle  in the living room were the things I will always cherish!  Uncle David always made me  laugh and there was never a dull moment.  He was the best and loved his family dearly!  I will always think about you Uncle David when I mow grass and you telling me how to do it.  I love you always!

I don’t even know where to begin. My childhood wouldn’t have been what it was without uncle David. I don’t believe there was a time he failed to make me smile/laugh in his presence! It was continuance laughter.  From playing football in the front yard, cutting grass with him, spending holidays together or just him Aunt Brenda and the girl hanging out, I always knew I was safe and loved. The memories I have of uncle David will be cherished. Uncle David I know I didn’t say it enough but I know you knew until your last days, I Love You! Thank you for being the uncle to me that you was! You made my childhood one I’ll never forget. Rest easy and give all the loved ones we’ve lost along the way hugs for me. Until We Meet Again! 💔

Uncle David was such a fun loving, kid centered Christian man. When my family visited Florida each spring break, the kids wanted to stay at his house. I loved my long talks with aunt Brenda & the boys loved horsing around with uncle David.  He always made sure the kids had fun adventures planned to the water park or Rainbow river & I always suspected he had the most fun of us all. He loved his nieces & nephews & opened his home to so many of us. I know heaven has welcomed him into his new home. God’s peace to Aunt Brenda, his girls, Tommy & the entire Hunter family. 

My Uncle David was a great man of God. He taught me almost everything I know about landscaping, taught me the crisscross cut, and gave me valuable lessons on life. He will be missed by many. I love you Uncle David! Rest in Peace! May your memory always be a blessing!💐
