Marie was born in Chardon, Ohio, on May 30, 1958 to the late Emma Mast (nee Weaver) and the late Allen Mast. Marie attended and graduated from Cardinal High School, Middlefield, Ohio, in 1976.
Marie is not considered a “military veteran”, but she served faithfully alongside husband as a career Air Force wife, enduring many of the same hardships, deployments, and extended separations as he did, serving more than 20 years in one of the hardest jobs in military service.
Marie was a devoted mother to Derek Dingle of Sheridan, Michigan, and Geoffrey Dingle of Suffolk, Virginia, building a strong relationship with each that endures today, as well as leading them in practice and by example in their faith which will endure for eternity. As a grandmother of 9, she treasured each one and embraced each moment she was able to spend with them. Marie was always looking for special things to do and to send the grandchildren, including many cookies and other treats.
Marie’s hobbies were crafts, whether it was cross-stitch or Diamond Dots, or decorating. She had a passion for baking, was always looking for and trying new things on family and friends, and worked 15 years for Tim Hortons Coffee and Bake Shop. Marie also had a devotion and passion for seeing the world through cruising with her husband, and was able to visit all 7 continents and more than 60 countries.
Above all these things, Marie dedicated life to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Marie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dunnellon, Florida. She actively served and sang in any and all music ministries, served in the nursery, loved working with children to teach and study the Bible, and was an avid participant in women’s ministries and other church activities.
Marie’s legacy is her friendly smile, her giving heart, her easy and contagious laugh, her empathy toward others, her skill at baking, and of course her devotion to her family and to her Lord.
Marie is survived by David Dingle, her husband of 46 years, her children Derek Dingle and Geoffrey Dingle, her grandchildren David Dingle, Dennis Dingle, Chloe Dingle, Colin Dingle, Elana Dingle, Caleb Dingle, Laila Dingle, Aiden Dudley, and Adam Dudley, her brothers Allen Mast, Paul Mast, and Jeff Mast, and her sisters Rebecca Sanor and Judy Webb.
Marie is preceded in death by her father Allen Mast, her mother Emma Mast, and her brother Phillip Mast.
