William (Bill) Eugene Shriver passed away on 10-08-20 in Bethany, OK at the age of 71. He was born on 7-23-49 in Canton, IL to Delbert and Rosemary Shriver. Bill grew up in Canton, IL. After high school, he joined the United States Army where he served in Korea and Vietnam for two years. He moved to Oklahoma City after the Army and went to work at Hunzicker Brothers where he met his wife. He worked in the Lighting Department for two years, then worked at Wesco Electric Supply for several years. He returned to Hunzicker Brothers where he worked until he retired in 2017. He was in Inside Sales and did quotations, mainly for Halliburton Services. When Bill was younger, he enjoyed trap shooting and riding motorcycles. As a husband and father, he liked to drive to the mountains of Colorado and New Mexico. He especially loved going to Red River, NM in the summertime. He loved driving to places just to get a certain burger, doughnut, soda, or jar of pickles that couldn't be found in Oklahoma. Bill was preceded in death by this father, Delbert Shriver. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dolores (Clark) Shriver, 2 daughters, Jennifer Shriver (Jonathan Valentine) and Melissa Broomfield (Tanner) all of Bethany, OK, 7 grandchildren, Derrick Davis (Jordan), Silas and Sutton Valentine, Mason, Matle, Tyler and Katie Broomfield, his mother, Rosemary Shriver, of Cimarron City, OK and brother, Robert Shriver, of Oklahoma City. Bill also leaves behind many friends who he really liked to joke with. He was a really funny guy and we will all remember the jokes he made or pranks he pulled on us. He was a big OSU fan. Most recently, he would be texting his friends and family, playing “Words with Friends” with us, and ordering items from Amazon. He loved his family and we have all benefited from that love. He was a wonderful and devoted Son, Husband, Dad and PaPa and we will miss him forever.
