Willa Mae Goolsby, 94, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Bellevue Skilled Nursing Center in Oklahoma City, OK. She was the wife of Roger W. Goolsby. They shared 57 years of marriage together. She was born in Carnegie, OK to Dorsey and Louise Wanzor. She attended Carnegie High School. After graduating she worked for Southwestern Bell. Eventually she obtained her teaching certificate and a Master’s degree from UCO. She worked as a Jr. High school teacher and later became a counselor at Center Jr. High in Putnam City. She loved her church, First Baptist of Oklahoma City but most of all her Savior, Jesus Christ. She enjoyed gardening and playing games with her friends. She will be remembered for her fun nature and her generous smile to all she met. She loved her family and friends! She is survived by her sisters, Betty Warren and husband, Waldo, Joann Leatherbury and Shirley Bryant. Her children, Rebecca Gilger and husband, Mac; Paul Goolsby and wife Suzie; her four grandchildren, Ari Morris(Matt), Scott Gilger(Ginny), Jon Goolsby(Emily) and Joe Goolsby(Hilary) and 9 great grandchildren.
