Lou Ann Callahan

Our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother Lou Ann Callahan, age 85, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024 at her home. Lou Ann was born November 20,1938 in Prague, OK to Homer Eugene and Josephine Elizabeth Lacquement Clinkenbeard. Lou Ann graduated from Northeast High School in 1956. She married Lonnie Higginbottom in 1963 and they were together until his death in 1980. In 1987, she was set up on a blind date with Zane Callahan, and it was love at first sight. They were married a few months later on January 15,1988 and enjoyed 33 loving years together. They enjoyed travelling and were members of the Oklahoma Hitchhikers Club for 25 years. She also enjoyed going to the casino, cooking, and spending time with her family. Lou Ann was an inventory manager at Tinker, AFB for 30 years. Lou Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Lonnie Higginbottom and Zane Callahan and her son, Lonnie Higginbottom. She is survived by her children, Sheila Renee Pierce and husband, Joel and Stacy Standifer, step-children Shelia Callahan and husband, Robi Owen and Larry Callahan and wife, and Sally; 8 grandchildren, Remy Pierce, Aaron Owen, Meagan Spaulding, Cheyenne Cummings, Camryn Cummings, Jeremy Callahan, Allison Callahan and Jason Callahan, 7 great grandchildren, Preslee, Avery, Levi, Alexia, Levi, and Everly and her brother, Leo Clinkenbeard; as well as other family members and friends.
