Lois M. Olson started her life’s journey as the oldest child of David and Edna Enterline on July 23rd, 1918 in Douglas, Nebraska. She accepted her savior at a very young age then reaffirmed her faith when she joined the Catholic Church in 1969. Lois married John (Vern) Olson on October 12, 1946 in Lincoln, Nebraska. They were married for 60 years. Vern and Lois moved to Oklahoma City in 1959 when Vern transferred here with Western Electric. Lois loved to be of service to others. She was involved in Girl Scouts as a leader and day camp director for many years. She enjoyed supporting St. Charles Catholic Church through her involvement in the Altar Society, church bazaars, coordinating funeral dinners for parishioners and their families for 15 years, serving as a Eucharistic Minister, and bowling with the ladies of St. Charles to raise money to support St. Charles school. Lois was also a member of the Okla-Lincs club since its inception. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her three brothers, Edward, David, and Daryle Enterline. Lois is survived by her daughter Judy, her grandsons Joshua John and Zachary Douglas Olson and her daughter, Nancy Rogers. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and two sisters–in-law. The family would like to thank Dr. Heather Barnes, M.D. and Mitzi for their compassionate care over the last several years. A wake will be held at Bill Merritt Funeral Home on Friday, November 25th at 7:00 P.M. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church on Saturday, November 26th, at 10:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in her name to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School or to the Dorothy Day Center.
