Karen McLane-Cargile

Karen McLane - Cargile passed unexpectedly in her home on February 16, 2020, in OKC. Karen was born in OKC to Thomas & Catto Braun. Karen was a force of nature, a woman of many talents & interests. She was an award-winning vocalist, songwriter, music teacher, entrepreneur, director, business owner, painter, graphic designer, event planner, jewelry designer, wife, & the best mother ever. She graduated from Central State University & studied music at the University of New Mexico. Karen worked as a Business Director for 20+ years before starting Music, Etc. She performed in large venues nationally, winning Female Entertainer and Album of the Year awards, & even appeared on Star Search. Her passion for music, art, & anything creative was infectious. Her accomplishments were numerous, but her greatest impact on the world was inspiring others. She believed in dreaming big & always bringing the bling. Her memory will forever shine brightly.

Karen is survived by her husband, Lee Cargile; sister, Linda Briceno; daughter, Adriana McLane and her husband, Cary Murphy; granddaughter, Bella Shea; nieces, Elena and Yvette and their families; and Lee’s children and grandchildren.
