Bryan Lee Rice passed away at his home in Bethany at the age of 77. He was born September 23, 1946 in Oklahoma City, OK to William Robert and Velma Folks Rice. Bryan grew up in the OKC area, attended John Marshall high school and then OU. He graduated from John Marshall in 1964 and attended OU from 1964 to 1968 on a full wrestling scholarship and went on to win 3 Big 8 wrestling titles. His time at OU made him a big fan of anything “Sooners”. Bryan had many interests,including spending time at his lake house at Fort Cobb. He became an avid fisherman, water skier and enjoyed quail hunting, golf and bowling. He was a perfectionist when it came to his yard and he loved working on it to make it perfect. He was a manager at a moving company for many years. Bryan was preceded in death by his father, William Rice, his mother, Velma Johnson and a nephew, Josh Rice. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of over 37 years, Terry, his precious fur babies Sierra Mist and Soda Pop, his brother, Stacy Rice as well as many other family and life long friends
A celebration of life for Bryan will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Bill Merritt Memorial Chapel, 6201 Northwest 39th Expressway, Bethany, OK 73008. Following the celebration of life there will be an interment in Rose Hill Burial Park, 6001 NW Grand Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73118.
