In his early twenties, Virgil proudly served in the Army as a paratrooper in Fort Bragg, serving for a total of four years. In 1956, he was married to his wife, Maizilane, and the couple was happily married for 63 years. He worked for Conair for many years, and later retired from the company. After retiring, he worked at Harps grocery store in Bentonville. He will be dearly missed by his family and those who knew him.
He is preceded in death by: wife, Maizie Ferguson; and parents, Ace and Mabel Ferguson.
Virgil is survived by: son, Richard Ferguson (Julie) of Centerton; brother, J.C. Ferguson (Lois) of Hot Springs; sister, Jo Baldridge of Centerton; grandson, Travis Ferguson (Lauren) of Centerton; and three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ethan, and Allee Ferguson of Centerton.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 21st at 10:00am at Callison-Lough Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Bentonville Cemetery.
