Vicky was an exemplary mother and the heart and glue of her family. Her passion was her husband (who she has known since kindergarten), her children and her grandchildren. She received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Henderson State University. She did her practiced teaching in Arkadelphia, and then taught for five years in Amity before moving to Northwest Arkansas. Once here, she jumped into the roles of softball coach, Bentonville Baseball and Softball board member, substitute teacher, church member, active PTA member and others all while making her family feel loved and cherished. In the 90’s, Vicky took a full time position at Bentonville High School as an administrative assistant. This provided her with the opportunity to socialize with everyone who walked through the doors of the school. Vicky’s spirit led her to be adored and respected by students and co-workers. She retired after twenty years of service with Bentonville Public Schools. This gave her more free time to travel anywhere to watch her grandkids play sports. She was a fixture on the sidelines or in the bleachers for many years. She also loved to spend her free time playing cards, playing tennis, watching the Razorbacks play football and basketball, shopping, and making chocolate gravy for her grandkids who knew her as “Nana”.
Vicky was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Randy Thrash.
