Mildred Martin, age 78, of Gravette, AR, passed away February 23rd , 2010 in Gravette. She was born May 18th, 1931 in Stinett, Texas to the late William Edward and Lydia Bryan Mizar. Mildred was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church in Gravette. She was well known in the community for her volunteer work. She was a volunteer for the First Christian Church, Feed My Sheep, Angel Food Ministries, Meals on Wheels, Care and Share, and the First Christian Church Breakfast Program. She was a member of the Maysville E-H Club and a Leader in the 4H club.
She is survived by 2 sons, Bruce Martin of Baldwin City, KS, Donald Martin, Sr. of Decatur, AR, 1 daughter Deborah Jones of Alexander, AR, 1 sister Eva Norris of Denver City, Texas , 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband JL Martin.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 27th at 11:00 AM at the Assembly of God Church in Gravette. A visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Gravette. Bro. A.P. Vohs will officiate the service. Interment will be in the Benton County Memorial Park Cemetery in Rogers. Memorials may be made to Feed My Sheep.
