Larry was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in South Korea. After his service, he had a lengthy career in the restaurant supply industry where he was known for his leadership skills and friendly demeanor. He loved horses, John Prine’s ability to write a good song, American history, a good non-fiction book, folk music, and college sports. Larry was known for his witty one-liners, his dry sense of humor coupled with a mischievous grin, and his encouraging words of wisdom.
He is preceded in death by Nancy Tobin Venable, and parents, Joe and Mary Venable.
He is survived by his daughter, Beth Venable Tellez, son, Isaac Tellez, son, Chris Venable (Sara), daughter, Phyllis Jackson Inglis, daughter, Cindy Jackson, granddaughters, Elia Tellez, Sarah Venable, Brittni Diffendefer, and Megan Betts, grandsons, Julian Tellez, Ethan Venable, and Ryan Reynolds, brother, Keith Venable, as well as nephews, Jesse Venable and Travis Venable, and numerous beloved cousins. Larry will be buried in the Fayetteville Military Cemetery with full Military honors at a private ceremony with immediate family members present.
