David Fairfax Jordan, 72, died on November 24th, 2024, surrounded by family at his home in Centerton, Arkansas. He was born in Jackson, Mississippi, on July 14th, 1952, to Frank Haddick Jordan and Katherine Whiting Jordan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his first wife, Lillian Mosby Jordan, and is survived by his wife, Jalynn Currie Jordan; his sons, Michael David Jordan, Daniel Booker Jordan, Lou Colton Jordan, and Downs Mac Jordan; his sister, Laura Lee Woods, his nephew Jeff Woods; as well as multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren and cousins.
David happily retired as Director of Cardiopulmonary at Mercy Hospital in 2017 and celebrated a remarkable career as a respiratory therapist. According to David, his proudest accomplishments were raising his four boys, earning his master’s degree, acting as chair for 20 plus years of the Arkansas Respiratory Care Examining Committee, and serving as Secretary of the AARC House of Delegates for multiple terms.
His memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, December 7th, in the Parish Hall at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Fayetteville, AR. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Lung Association.
