She married Boris Alexander (Radionoff) Hicks April 3, 1938 and remained married 43 years until his death November 3, 1980.
Mrs. Hicks was a dietitian at the Nazareth hospital in Mineral Wells, Texas before and during World War II. In 1945, she moved the family to Bentonville, Ark., where she became a homemaker and raised her family. She was a long time member of the Methodist Church of Centerton, Ark.
Mrs. Hicks will be remembered as a happy person, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
She is preceeded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Adel Self and Betty Jean Treadway; brother, JW Treadway; and son, Ernest Eugene Hicks.
She is survived by her daughter, Marrion Hicks Perry and husband, Rowland H Perry; grandsons, Michael Allen Hicks and wife, Brenda, Jason Eugene Hicks, Andrew Thomas Shaver and wife, Kelly, and Beau Alexander Shaver; and many great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation will begin at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, September 16, in Callison-Lough Funeral Home, Bentonville with a service to follow at 11 a.m. The burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Hiwasse.
