Vicki Turner Gates, 74, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, died on October 26, 2022, in Oak Grove, Missouri. Born January 6, 1948, in Wichita, Kansas, she was the daughter of the late Anna Lee Gorman McMahon, the late Frederick U. Turner, and the late Harry Lee McMahon. Vicki attended Ruskin High School in Kansas City, Missouri; performed clerical work for various companies in her younger years then became a housewife until retirement. While she spent most of her years living in Missouri, she also lived in Hawaii and Texas at various times.
She is survived by son Bryan McMahon of Sugar Creek, Missouri; 4 grandchildren including grandson Liam McMahon of Harrisonville, Missouri; sisters Cinda Garrett of Belton, Missouri, and Melanie Payne (Ron) of Bates City, Missouri; and brother Pete Turner of Columbus, Ohio; stepson Brian Gates (Angie) of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, many loving nieces and nephews, and companion Terry Barnes, of the home.
In addition to her parents, Vicki was predeceased by son Michael Darren Aue, and grandson Bastian McMahon.
Public visitation for Vicki will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at McGilley & George Funeral Home, 611 Chestnut, Belton, Missouri. Funeral service follows immediately at 11:00 AM at the same address. Burial will occur Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Belton Cemetery, 710 S. Scott, Belton, Missouri.
