Thomas W Hood, age 85, of Belton, MO went to see the Lord after a prolonged illness. He passed away on October 27, 2023. Thomas was born in Barnstable, MA on May 21, 1938. He proudly served in the US Air force for 20 years. Thomas loved fishing, hunting and the KC Chiefs, Go Chiefs!
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ellen R Hood (Saultz); daughter and son in law Tammy and David; daughter and son in law Robin and Chuck; sister and brother in law Cynthia and Bob Cociveria, Wellfleet MA; brother and sister in law Fred and Barbara Simmons; sister in law Pat Saultz and many other in laws, nieces and nephews; also two very special great nieces Sydney Keaton and Piper Rains.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Cecelia Hood, sisters Margaret and Phyllis of Wellfleet, MA.
Military honors for Thomas will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at McGilley & George Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 611 Chestnut, Belton, MO 64012, followed by a celebration of remembrance from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
